Lu Chout (Myanmar)

Lu chout are the Myanmar counterparts of koan kroach and kuman thong. What sets lu chout apart from the others is that they are not created through black magic rituals. Instead, they come into existence because of their deep attachment to their parents.

Because of their desire to be born and remain with their parents, the spirits of these stillborn children become ghosts with attachment (see Ghosts, Spirits and Paranormal Entities from Asian Folklore and Mythology (Book 1)), clinging to their own corpses and unable to move on. They communicate with their parents through dreams, requesting them to keep their bodies.
