Koan kroach (Cambodia)

Koan kroach are mummified fetuses used as amulets for their alleged protective powers. In the past, koan kroach were popular among soldiers who believed these amulets could grant them supernatural abilities, such as making them bulletproof, revealing the enemy’s location, or even rendering them invisible.
The ritual to create a koan kroach is associated with black magic and marked by violence.
