An illustration of Kejoro, a woman with long black hair completely covering her face.

Kejoro are courtesan yokai sighted in brothels and red-light districts. From behind, they look like ordinary courtesans wearing kimonos, but their faces are concealed by their long black hair. In some versions, they are depicted as faceless; where their faces should be, there's only hair. Regardless, from behind, they appear as ordinary courtesans strolling gracefully along dark alleys or hallways in brothels.

When an unsuspecting man approaches, a kejoro turns around to reveal her unsettling appearance. While he is in shock, she envelopes him with her razor-sharp hair and slices him into pieces.
