We had heard about Sembawang Hot Spring Park, but being two home-loving introverts, we were too lazy to go there. Then Alex came into our lives and changed us for the better.

We are still home-loving introverts, but we now make an effort to go out every weekend for him. It helps reduce his screen time, and we also get to exercise. Not to mention, we create many memories during our local weekend adventures while giving Alex plenty of opportunities to become more street-smart too.

So, off we went to Sembawang Hot Spring Park one weekend.

We loved it. The park has a foot bath tucked away in a lush green setting. The foot bath isn’t big, but there are many seats around the park where visitors can sit and soak their feet in containers filled with hot spring water.

The cascading foot bath has four tiers. The water is warmest at the top and gradually cools as it flows down. Hot spring water at 70°C is also available at a designated egg-cooking station—hot enough to make onsen eggs while keeping food preparation separate from the foot bath.

There weren’t many people around on the day we visited, so we had a pretty relaxing time soaking our feet in the foot bath.

After that, we took a bus to Northpoint City in Yishun and had dinner there. Following our usual ritual after a heavy meal, we walked around for a bit in the mall before heading home by bus.

Another weekend well spent.
