Ma Da (Vietnam)

Ma da are the ghosts of drowned people, described as having a bloated, child-like appearance. These restless souls cannot find peace or be reincarnated as humans unless they subject another person to the same fate that they once suffered. In this way, ma da are similar to lusar lal ghosts of Myanmar folklore.
