Illustration of a Hinoenma, a woman with fangs and blood dripping from her mouth.

Hinoenma are vampiric yokai from Japanese folklore. They appear as bewitching women so captivating that men fall for them at first sight. Once a hinoenma has charmed her victim, she drains both his blood and wealth. She feeds gradually, leaving her victim withered and impoverished before moving on to the next man.
